The electric eels were the first punk band ever! and they are the best. They played 6 shows before fist fights (with the audience, police, and amongst themselves) and general disfunction caused the band to dis-band (pun intended). Luckily for the world, they recorded a decent amount of material in their practice space which has been re-re-re-released on multiple compilations. One of my favorite songs is "You're Full of Shit" which you can listen to below via the magic of YouTube.
Other instant classics include: Agitated, Cyclotron, Tidal Wave, Jaguar Ride, Etc. I highly recommend you check out their website. Even if you are not a fan of their music, it is worth a visit to witness one of the more psychotic home pages on the internets and maybe even buy a mug. Enjoy!
